Unlike piggyback fuel controllers, it directly reprograms the motorcycle&#8217;s ECM (Engine Control Module) through the diagnostic port.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><strong data-start=\"1124\" data-end=\"1261\">The HD tuner permanently marries itself to the first motorcycle VIN it flashes. It cannot be reset or transferred to another motorcycle. (So they Say we will Explore this a little further at a later date!) <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><strong data-start=\"1124\" data-end=\"1261\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Tuning is repair! Locking down or marring\/pairing the tools to 1 specific motorcycle is how the manufactures try and extract more money from owners. Some people own many bikes one should not need to buy one for each bike that&#8217;s ridiculous.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1uqvl7w\" data-start=\"342\" data-end=\"358\">What it Does<\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"359\" data-end=\"763\">\n<li data-section-id=\"yka98a\" data-start=\"359\" data-end=\"410\">Uploads Harley-approved performance calibrations.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1odsewt\" data-start=\"411\" data-end=\"501\">Supports Stage I, Stage II, and some more advanced Screamin&#8217; Eagle performance upgrades.<\/li>\n<li
