I have been searching for a decent shipping scale and came across a PS6L on a local marketplace facilitator. I messaged the seller they had a PS6L in the photo but said they sold it but had another one. We met up and when they arrived and it was a Mettler Toledo PS60<\/a> and the USB Port on it was a little loose (broken) LOL. Since it was not a PS6L we agreed on a price! Deal was Done. So Now time for a Mettler Toledo PS60 Scale Repair.<\/p>\n

Under the Sticker PLCC Chip Philips P89C668HBA<\/a> PLCC 44 8-bit Flash micro-controller it is in there tight and could not find my extractor or I would have made a backup. <\/span>

New USB Connector Soldered On to the Mettler Toledo PS60 Main Board And Reinstalled in The Chassis Held In By a Large Standoff, The only Connection is Load Cell Ribbon Cable and Display and USB Cable.

The Mettler Toledo PS60 Scale Repair is it one of the simplest repairs I have done in a long time. This PS60 Has a Nice USB Connector now and should last me years.<\/p>\n

December 15th 2023<\/strong>, Playing with the Xeltek Superpro 7500 and the Magic Chip Searching for Target Devices… I revisited this Scale.<\/p>\n

I decided to do a Firmware Backup I will Assume this MCU also holds the scales calibration Data.<\/p>\n

Scrolling thru the Buffer of the Flash Memory it Looks to be Valid Data

Booting the Scale, Shows Same Info.

Video Of Scale Booting After Erasing the Philips P89C668HBA<\/a> Chip<\/span> and Reprograming it From the Firmware Backup. I Will Call this a Successful Backup.
