Just an FYI after doing a mockup on the Grizzly G0704 Mill with aluminum strips the Scale Sizes Required.

Z Axis 1, 520MM Scale Over all Scale Length 26.1

X Axis 1, 470MM Scale Over all Scale Length 24.1 (if you want to do a front install you can use a 470MM Scale) Rear install has a drain plug so no larger then 470MM

Y Axis 1, 170MM Scale Over all Scale Length 12.3 I am thinking i should have got a 22mm for this axis!

Powered Up! All 3 Scales Seem to Work! I need to Mount the Read Heads On The X and Z Axis and Mount the Y Scale and Read Head! But Making Progress..

Update: 02/23/2014 I Was able to get a few hours of free time today! Got the Z Axis Reader Head Mounted…
