Tektronix 655HR-1 Monitor... Repair – Refresh – Restore!! (Soon)
I was searching for a Decent Sony PVM or a BVM but people ask stupid prices for them not serviced. They see them for sale ebay the ones that have been serviced and think well that’s what they sell for there but don’t seem to read its been serviced and their has not.
This will be my Analog Shop Monitor.. Was going to use a K7000 but this monitor I think will be better maybe?

Needs some Attention but looks darn good for being About 43 Years old.
I’ll toss the Sencore CR70 Tester on it and check the Tube but it appears nice. Lets hope the focus / convergence drifting issue is not the flyback or a weak tube. Fingers crossed it is the common caps in convergence or deflection circuit that fail. The CRT Should be a Trinitron 330JB22 CRT some say a 330YB22 is closest.
Back Side.. Almost Fully Optioned… No Blank Spaces Except for the Remote.

I Opened it up and Checked the deflection boards, pin cushion board, and blanker board found a few bad caps.. it solved as lot of the noise. But still wavy on the edges and the top.

I just used what I had in the bins, I dont stock much thru hole stuff any more. They were little high on the voltage, I need to get the larger axial caps ordered they are also bad.

Checking the amplifier board it’s got issues as well.. I Checked the ESR in caps everyone I tested was bad or borderline.

This Monitor will take prob more work then I am willing to do.. So Right now it will be Just tear-down content unless I get motivated. I am kinda scared to put it on the CRT Tester that is if we have data for the CRT. I need to check the RGB see if it has same symptoms there.
I need to regroup and get a parts list. Most the electrolytic caps are 100uf 25v, 22uf 25v 4.7uf 35V
