Site Hosting Renewed for Another 3 Years
I’m happy to announce that the site hosting has been renewed for another three years. As the site has grown over the last few years and the content has expanded, I had to move up to the next hosting tier to keep up with the servers resource demands.
Fortunately, I was able to take advantage of a promotional rate that saved a couple hundred dollars on the renewal, so the timing worked out well.
With that said Keeping this site running isn’t free, the hosting costs are just one piece of the overall cost. There’s also the time, tools, equipment, and components that go into producing the content you see here. Every teardown, X-ray, and firmware backup, etc represents real hours and real money invested in bringing you useful, independent technical information.
If this site has helped you learn something new, or stay informed on Right to Repair issues, I’d really appreciate your support. Even a small contribution goes a long way toward keeping the lights on and the content coming.
You can donate via Cash App: $slrhine
I also welcome hardware donations of items relevant to what this site covers. So if you have something you’d like to see torn down, X-rayed, or otherwise investigated or explored, or product reviewed feel free to reach out. Sending something my way is another great way to directly contribute to future content.
I plan to invest in better camera equipment to bring better quality photos.
Thanks for reading my content, and thanks for your continued support.
