I was Browsing Ebay I came across This Data I/O 29B Chip Programmer It was Missing the Unipack

Seller had it’s condition listed as used and tested/works” I did not need 3 Of these so I offered what I thought was reasonable for one of these programmers in a power on condition missing the programming pack.

Connector on the Back is the Handler (Option) Schematic.

I looke and could not find any photos of the Handler Board 410-1984A on the net.. So Here is it Installed. I Labeled the rom’s that came with this unit.

Making Progress on his one.. There was a Screw Under the Power Supply that shorted it out. + There no communications was form a dead MC1488/1489 chips I replaced them with the USB Modification. After servicing the power supply I proceeded to check the calibration. Found it missing the -5V prob was taken out same time the  MC1488/1489 were taken out as it is ona  pin for the serial connector. I was out of 7809’s but should arrive this week I will update with a follow up video.

It’s up and Working -5V Restored and I Worked on my Unipack 2B got it Functional.  Cottie Wanted Attention!!
