Right to Repair Signed In to Law Washington State.
On May 20, 2025, Washington Governor Bob Ferguson signed into law two right-to-repair bills: House Bill 1483 and Senate Bill 5680. HB 1483 focuses on consumer electronics, while SB 5680 concerns mobility devices like powered wheelchairs. These laws grant consumers and independent repair providers access to parts, tools, and information needed to repair electronic and mobility devices.
I was in attendance at the Signing of the Bills..
This was a short notice trip. I had to cancel some scheduled work and sent to other repair shop to be in attendance. I dont expect to see them clients again! Ohh well! This was an all day event..
