I have X-rayed the BPM Microsystems CPCBPD8B Rev B Pin Driver Board.
These Pin driver Boards are used from the BP Microsystems 1410 to the 1710 including the Silicon Sculptor II and 3
This X-ray Was helpful to repair a broken one.
I wish BPM Microsystems would consider making the schematics available for their older, discontinued programmers. These units are no longer part of their current product lineup, so releasing the documentation would not compete with their modern systems. In fact, their newer programmers are priced well beyond the reach of many individual users and small repair shops. Providing legacy schematics would simply help the community maintain and preserve equipment that is still widely relied upon.
Equipment owners (personal and business users) who are able to repair and maintain their tools tend to be some of the most loyal customers. When circumstances allow such as when their business grows or budgets improve they are often the same users who choose to purchase modern updated equipment from the same manufacturer.
Until then, we will continue doing what we can to keep these programmers alive and working for as long as possible. #righttorepair.
Please E-Mail Mr. Robert Trenary and ask kindly if they would consider releasing the schematics to these older discontinued programmers. I would hate to see them become lost to time like Data I/O’s documents.
