UnBoxing Video.
The Diffrence between a 9005 and a 9010, From my research the main board on the 9005A is the same as the 9010A the only difference is the amount of memory installed, keyboard, lack of serial port, and the display board is missing programing led..

I Confirmed this in the Fluke 9010A Service Manual. the Main Board Numbers (579268) are the same did not list the Rev. Mine is K

Marked Main Assy 579268 Rev K

The Display Programming LED.. I Looked once again 9in the 9010 Manual and it is the Same Part Number.

This is the Display board Notice the LED’s are Fully Populated.

The part number of the display board is the same 579250

The Window for the LED is Blocked off on the display overlay would be easy to remove the coating are make it visible.

The only thing I found wrong with this unit so far is the power switch its been super glued and the bond did not survive the trip. The 9010A replacement replacement power switch candidates can be found on digikey for about 7.50 there is also another on Mouser for about $9.75

Serial Port will be going with a Fluke 9010A Option 1 V2 USB Card. its Open Source.

So I am drawing up a keyboard in EasyEDApro I will make the gerbers public in-case anyone wants to make one for themselves once O get one functional. I need to decision the switches (66pcs) and key original key caps are 13mm X 13mm (1.5mm radius) X 6.6mm replacements cannot be much larger due to the opening in the housing. there are also 2 latching switches. Another option i am considering is making a membrane / tactical dome keyboard.

When I order my boards I need to order 5 so I will make 4 PCB’s available.
There are some open source pods etc. keeping with that trend what ever i make I will share. We need to keep this equipment alive and available to the masses.
Living blog will update when ever i get the time or new info. so check back often.
